Dyes:
Professional acid dyes and KoolAid usually are very durable. Natural plant dyes can fade in the sunlight and can contain some rest of the dyeing material, even if care is taken to remove it all. We only use nontoxic substances which don't harm the environment or the human body.

Washing:
All fibers, yarns and items are washed after their creation.
Best wash by hand and use a mild shampoo (Wool is also just sheep hair) or wool washing detergent. Try to move and rub it as little as possible. You also shouldn't put your finished item in the washing machine or dryer, unless you want a shrinkage on purpose.
Pure wool yarns are usable for felting, but you should try it with a sample first to see how big the effect is. Natural dyed yarn may shrink less because it is already exposed to high temperatures when being dyed. Wash your items separately, especially in the beginning.

Handspun yarn:
Handspun yarn may vary in thickness. These irregularities are a part of the speciality of handspun yarn.
The yarn can also tear in the process of spinning, plying and winding. When that occurs, we try to join it as good as we can but sometimes you still have a visible knot. But that also happens with commercial yarn you can buy in shops.

Especially single threaded yarn can have a resulting twist. We try to make balanced yarn and settle the twist by washing, but it can happen, especially when you are knitting, that the stitches have a slightly tendance into a certain direction. Some yarns are not ideal for the usual knitting and need to be processed in another way.

The bits and pieces we include in our yarn usually are quite good fixed. Still it is possible that they fall out of the yarn. You also should handle with care.

The yarn comes to you in a loosely bound skein because that's the best form for transportation and storage. For using this yarn you should wind it into a ball first.
